There will be a 7 class wild card team entry allowed this year whereby two 1 rated riders will be drawn to ride with a 5 or 4 rated rider to provide them with the opportunity to ride-up and receive mentoring from our higher numbered riders. You will enter as a single person entry in the 7 class on the website entry form, use the middle slot in rider entry leaving the first rider slot empty.
CATPA's annual Beginner's Clinic will once again be held at Rockin'H at Bowden, this year on March 3rd. Click here for more info.

NOTE: The CTPA Cam Clark Shows are on February 25 & 26 at the Cow Palace in Olds, it is co-sanctioned so that CATPA members may ride at those shows and count those shows towards Nationals eligibility
Sorting is happening at Ponoka Ag Centre. For more info call Bob Blackmore 780-361-6824. The next sorting will be Friday night January 27, sorting to start at 7PM, arena doors to be open at 6PM.
Clearwater Arena will be having sorting practice Friday evenings at 7PM. Trevor Marcinek is supplying the cattle. Call Doug at 403-729-3110 or Trevor at 403-844-7084 for more info.
Wild Card Ranch Sorting practice's Saturday January 28 @ 1PM at Beau and Jody Reidel's, located 13km west of QE2 on the Westcott road, Didsbury area. For more info call Jody at 403-828-7570.
Greg McAllister held a Horsemanship Clinic for CATPA members on January 21, 2012 at PMR. Thanks Greg, and thanks to Kelly and Cheryl for the facility, the riders who participated figured it was A-one. Maybe Greg could be talked into doing another one, if there is interest contact Sandra Clipperton at 403-912-4334 or email at troyclip@telus.net.
Prairie Mountain Ranch will also be hosting the Judges Clinic on February 7, 2012 from 7 - 9PM. If you can attend, or if you are interested in being a judge and cannot attend this clinic, please contact Sandra Clipperton as above.

NOTE: Under ARENA's there are maps to most of them by clicking on the arena name. If there are other arena's that provide a service to some of our members, we can place that information on the site.
Please note that at any of our shows, CATPA does not handle stalling, that is handled either by the show operator or the arena where the show is held. We will try to indicate whom to contact for stalling, but please take care of that on your own.Because we are running the 5 class first go immediately after the 7 class first go this year, unknown riders and team corrections need to be completed with the office staff prior to the ten class half-back being posted.
4 entries in every class will be allowed with the same rules as last year regarding rider change out.
Shows this year are scheduled for a 9:00 AM start unless we get more entries than anticipated:-)
NOTICE: In the event that inclement weather should force the cancellation of a show, the Directors shall make every effort to have a cancellation decision by Friday noon prior to a show, and that decision will be posted on this website at that time.
